Star Trek TOS Rock Mood Lamp

This is another creation of The Wand Company. It's from the 5th episode "The Enemy Within" and was inspired by the scene where Sulu and the geological team are stranded on the surface of planet Alfa 177 and forced to heat rocks with their hand phasers to keep from freezing to death.

Picture
There are two modes of operation, Atmosphere and Survival. In Atmosphere mode the rock is a mood lamp in the color of your choosing. Just use the phaser to change colors.

In survival mode the rock pulsates red and grows brighter the longer the phaser is used to "heat" it. When you stop it starts to slowly fade.

Picture
The included Type 1 phaser is used to control the effects. The resin rock is brown in color when the light is off.

Picture
The rock set to an emerald green color in Atmosphere mode.

Picture
Here it's set for a topaz blue. My young grandson loves this thing and all the different lighting variations he can choose wih the phaser. It's now his night light.
Picture
Also included with the rock is an official Starfleet mylar space blanket as used by Sulu and crew.

The team at Wand thought of everything, even a screwdriver for installing batteries and a 5-volt USB A cable for tying into the ship's power.
Picture
It's all packed in a colorful box.
