I've been planning a new observatory since dismantling my last one in 2017 but things seem to just keep getting in the way. I was so busy working on our supposed retirement place from 2018 to 2021 I just could never get the time or money to start on the new obs. This turned out to be a good thing in the end because we sold that place and moved again in 2021. I learned my lesson on owning property in a development with a POA.
Now we are about a year into building the new homestead (on unrestricted land this time) and once again I'm so busy I don't know what to do next. Due to some medical issues I am only now, in the middle of summer, able to do any heavy work. All spring when I was able to work, it was mostly just restoring test equipment in my electronics lab, because it only involved sitting at my work bench. Now that I am able to do more strenuous activities I am trying to finish up around the home and get cracking on the observatory. But first I have to complete one all-important task - finishing my grandson's playground.
